                        - Prefiero ...
                        - Quiero ...
                        - Necesito ....
                        - Debo ...

1) Sign up for a free account.
2) Along the top of the screen there is an option that says "record video", select this.

Lección 2

Objectives:
1) Learn the conjugations of the verb ir.
2) Use the verb ir to talk about places that someone is going.
3) Use ir + a to talk about events that are going to happen in the near future.
_________________________________________________________________________

Today you are going to learn about the different uses of the verb ir. In Spanish, the verb ir means to go.

Actividad 1

Sr. Deems was one of my colleagues when I taught in Chandler. Watch his video to learn about how the verb ir is conjugated, and to hear some of the uses of the verb.

Based on the video, answer the following questions.

Actividad 2

The verb ir is often followed by a. If immediately after the word a, there is the definite article el it forms the conjunction al.

Yo voy al mercado.   -->   Conjunction a + el al
Yo voy a la escuela.  -->   No conjunction!

Complete the following practice activity to practice this concept.
