Actividad 1:
Use the link to the website voxopop.com. Then, record yourself telling your name, and answering the  following questions in Spanish:

1.     ¿Qué tipo de ropa te gusta llevar?
2.     ¿Dónde te gusta ir de compras?
3.     ¿Te gusta regatear para recibir un buen precio?
4.     ¿Te gusta estar de moda?
5.     En tu opinión, ¿cuál ropa está de moda?

Actividad 2:
Practice using the vocabulary in the following activities.

1. Use these flashcards to review the vocabulary from chapter 2.

2. Write the correct translation of the word. Spelling and accents count.

3. "Drop" the word in Spanish on its English translation.

Actividad 3:
1. Open an account in voicethread.com
2. Then, look at the clothing in the presentation. Leave comments within the presentation identifying as many articles of clothing as your can (in Spanish). Use complete sentences, you can write or speak your sentences.

-For example: En la foto la mujer lleva los jeans, un cinturón de cuero y una camisa de lunares.

Actividad 4:
Imagine that your just received a $500 check from your grandmother to buy new clothes. Using the following sites, design a brochure showing what you would buy. You must include:

1) Pictures
2) Price
3) Description of the article of clothing

**Remember you only have $500 dollars. You must select clothing from the sites listed below. You must use all your money, and not go over $500.

Sites:
- Zara: Ropa de moda para hombres y mujeres.
Desigual: Ropa de moda para hombres y mujeres.
Aldo Conti: Ropa formal para los hombres.
Liverpool: Un almacén con ropa para toda la familia.

You will use the site glogster.com to create a glog with this information. Watch the tutorial below, to see how to use glogster.com.

Once you have completed your glog, post it to the website posterous.com. Watch the tutorial, to see how to upload your glog to posterous.

I liked all of the different options there were to practice spanish, but I felt like the activities were confusing and I did not like that I had to register on all of these different websites to complete the activities.

I liked the flash cards because I was able to review the vocab more easily. I didn't like that Glogster was confusing and I needed to register for most of the activities. This whole website is a new and interesting was to study Spanish.

I liked all of the activities except activity 4. I didn't like that activity because it took long and getting the pictures onto the glog was kind of hard, or maybe I was just doing it the hard way. I liked the other activities because they gave me practice pronouncing the new vocabulary and helped me learn it. However, next time I think only two activities should be assigned at once because it was a little overwhelming.

I liked the ability to reference the vocab (the flashcard function) directly on the website without having to use the textbook - having everything in one place is always a good thing. I did not like signing up at somewhat buggy websites - I worry about putting personal information into them. Nothing was really overly confusing, although I didn't seem to be able to put spanish accented letters into glogster.

  6. I liked the first activity because it really helped us practice speaking. We also practiced replying to questions we hear and have to translate ourselves. The second activity was great as a study tool, I liked the flash cards the most. Saves paper and makes it easy to have all the vocab quickly. Activity three was alright, it really just felt like an activity out of the book, so I feel it was beneficial but not more so than doing work out of the book. Activity four was a fun assignment, but I feel it was not to difficult and took more time uploading pictures and things of that sort rather than actual learning taking place.

I liked the note cards because they helped to study the vocabulary, but really think it is unnecessary that we use all of these outside websites like glogster to learn spanish. I don't see how making a glog helps us learn spanish. I also thought that the clothing presentation was a little difficult to work with. I wouldn't suggest another assignment through this blog it's just a little confusing.

I have no idea how to do any of this. Having to work with all these web sites and blogs are confusing to me. I feel homework from the book wouldnt have been alot more efficient for studying and less time consuming. I am not even sure how to leave this comment.

  9. I liked the note cards, and making the Glog was fun. I didn't like how small Activity 3 was. The spanish was confusing to me, and the glogging and clothes shopping in another language was new and interesting.

  10. I thought the flashcards were really easy and fun. Activity three was horrible! It was waaaay to small and difficult to see what was going on. The glog was pretty neat. It was fun to make. my only issue with it is the sparse section of themes.

i didnt like this at all. this whole assignment was a pain. having to sign up for all the little websites was a pain and the i dont think the excersises even saved. the first activity presented problems where i had to ask for help when i didnt want to. the second was relatively easy and passable. the third i had to sign up for another useless account. the fourth presented the most touble for me. creating the glog was relatively enjoyable until i had to post it on posterous, where it wouldnt submit, no matter how many times i tried to submit and save or how many different computers i used. after i logged out of glogster to restart my computer, i couldnt log in again. it wouldnt let me at all. even commenting here was a pain. i had to sign up for a google account for this comment to even post for my grade. then i had to start over on bblearn. ive had to type this comment three times. so no, i didnt like these activities.

  12. Molly Wilmer 10:20- I liked the activities like the flash cards and match up game. This was easy and helped me to review my vocabulary. It will be helpful for memorization. I did not like the first activity because I had some problems with my computer. The glog was fun but took a very long time and I am also not a fan of doing things online. Overall, it wasn't too bad it was kind of interesting.

  13. The assignment was fairly easy. The first and forth were my only complaints because they didnt save properly at times but the other ones were fun like the flash cards and the word match but the third one was also time consuming and just slightly annoying cause the text was so small

This assignment wasn't all that difficult. The first assignment at first wouldn't let me record and it would take a while to load. The second assignment was easy and more entertaining. It also helped to learn the words. Assignment three was also good practice but there were a lot of pictures so it just got old and boring after awhile. Assignment four was confusing at first, but once you got going it wasn't all that bad. My only other complaint about assignment four is that it was time consuming and I didn't feel like it was worth it at times.

Overall, I would have liked this assignment more if we had done these projects over time instead of all at once. I liked the flashcards the best, but did not like the glog, mostly because I didn't know the exchange rates to American dollars and I don't know if I got them right.

I liked the activities for the most part. However, when I went to do the glogster it would not let me put the pictures on the glog. I tried a few different things and it just kept saying that there was an error.

I really liked the activities that were part of the pages but im not sure if my results posted. It seemed like too much work that wasn't actually helping me learn spanish in any way. I created a glog but I forgot my posterous login and it would not send me my password. The practice is great but in my opinion, a little much for a 101 class. Especially the first and third activities. They were too long and very difficult to post. If it were part of a less buggy site, it would be much easier and you would get the same amount of practice in the language.

My comment is extremely long, so I wrote it on a piece of paper to bring into you during class tomorrow (Wednesday).

The activities that I liked the most were the flash cards and the matching activity. These helped me recognize vocabulary and practice vocabulary in a simple way. I also liked the speaking activity. The program was quick and simple. The Glogster was alright. It was confusing to set up and took longer to gather the information. I feel like I spent more time picking borders and fonts then learning Spanish.

  21. I very much enjoyed this activity. I especially enjoyed making the glog. i had never done that before, and found it intresting. the various avtivites helped me to remeber the spanish vocabulary with better ease. i hope we can do a particular assignment like this again!

  22. I like being able to recite and practice peaking Spanish like we did in activity 1. I just hope I answered the questions correctly. For activity 2, I enjoyed playing the scatter game and placing the words over each other. I also liked the flashcards and think using them is one of the best ways to study. I like writing the words however I don't like doing it on the computer because I'm not good at putting the accent marks. Having the choice to either type of say what the person was wearing in activity 3 was good practice too. I decided to write it however that meant I didn't put accent marks. It was also really hard because the text boxes were so small you could not see what you were writing. I would say that activity 4 was my favorite. I love looking for the new style of clothes and really wish I had the $500. The only hard part was converting the money. I also didn't explain exactly what I put on my glog. Overall I enjoyed the activities and there was more work than I had originally thought there would be.

  23. This is Sarah Sandin. I enjoyed learning vocabulary in a new way. However, I would prefer to not go to all of the different websites and have to create accounts for all of them. I feel that I could have learned the vocabulary in a much simpler way.

I liked all of the activities. I especially liked the one where it gives you the word in english and you have to translate it into spanish correctly. I liked that you could go back and correct only the ones that you initially got wrong. I also liked Glogster. I thought it was new and creative.

  25. I liked the scatter activity as well as the flashcards. It was really helpful being able to choose how you wanted the flashcard presented to you. I really disliked doing the glog, I thought it took up a lot of time and it didn't help me memorize the vocab.

  26. Actually I am quite frustrated with the website. I started the activities as soon as you gave us the assignment. Some of them were helpful with learning the vocabulary, but I think that using the online website tested my knowledge of a computer instead of my knowledge of espanol. Hopefully everything worked out and you got my blog on posterous. It's all a learning experience, but I think next time I will see you in your office hours just to make sure I'm understanding how to use the computer part of the assignment. computers have never really been my thing.

I liked the vocab activities but had difficulty with the glogster.I don't know if my glogster worked on posterous.

  28. I was very frustrated with the glogster website when I was first trying to figure out how to work it. Once I was able to get the hang of it though, it was very easy and I could semi enjoy creating it. Also, the activities posted are all very good ways to practice vocab.

  29. The assignments weren't hard, and I enjoyed the disappearing game and Actividad 3, but Actividad 4 was much more time consuming than I expected. I spent a lot of time looking for clothes and figuring out glogster when I could have been studying the vocab. While activities 1,2, and 3 were fun and helpful, I feel that activity 4 was neither.

Well definitely the first two activities were the funnest and most helpful, reciting the words for this section is actually most helpful(the best was the disappearing game). The recording activities were so-so and personally the glogster thing and having to publish it on posterous was time consuming, annoying, and physically draining. Have a good night!

  31. I like the flashcards a lot but I honestly found the glog a bit difficult (the video really helped) but i do feel that it would have perhaps been better if we had done these activities individually instead of all at once?

I really liked the flashcards and all the study tools available to help you learn the vocabulary. However, I did not like the part where we had to create our own poster from clothes we found online. I felt this activity wasn’t helpful to me at all. I also found this to be the most confusing because it would not change the background and customize my page the way I wanted it to look. The last activity with glogster was new to me because I had never used anything like it before.

I did like this assignment just for the study portion. Activity 4 was a huge hassle. Glogster was very slow in adjusting the photos and would not work with me sometimes. The flashcards and the little game were really helpful.

I liked the notecards and the matching game with the vocab. Everything else took so much time just because we had to sign up for an account and then do the whole activity that didnt seem to help with my knowledge. I liked the idea of this whole this but it honestly was just a waste of time.
Thanks so sorry for the inconvenience.

  35. This was a pretty good assignment. There was a decent amount of work that took place but the information was available to learn. I disliked having to sign up for that many accounts but other than that i cant complain.
